How AIDS is a harmful disease?

Font size: Decrease font Enlarge font

This century, AIDS will be one of the most common chronic diseases, and no vaccine for HIV exists. There are the following severe problems which are caused by this disease. HIV is the virus, which is the cause of AIDS.
The latest research on HIV shows that the HIV causes infection and multiplies in monkeys but do not cause disease in monkeys. So it shows that HIV is host specific.

Signs and Symptoms

  • Chronic fever
  • Severe diarrhea lasting for months
  • Pneumonia
  • Kaposi’s sarcoma (cancer of blood vessels)
  • Brain infection
  • Widespread tuberculosis affecting many organs at the same time

The word syndrome is given to AIDS because it is a disease with many signs occurring at same time. Victims of AIDS die within two years. Now vaccine against HIV has been synthesized and its experimental administration in humans started early 2001 in South Africa. Antiretroviral medications including AZT do prevent the virus from replicating.

Mode of Transmission
The HIV is transmitted by inmate sexual contact; contact with blood and breast-feeding.
Health care workers can also acquire HIV during their professional activities.
Prevention
Avoid direct sexual contact with HIV infected man or woman.
Avoid intravenous drug with common syringes.
Use sterile needles, syringes and utensil.

"The drug AZT for AIDS do prevent virus from replicating."

It do?

May I suggest that The center for AIDS Prevention dip into some of the money it's withholding from the community to hire a proofreader who has successfully completed 6th grade English?

Maybe you should read what it really says and realize that it is grammatically correct.

"Signs and Symptoms

Chronic fever
Severe diarrhea lasting for months
Pneumonia"

These are also the classic symptoms of almost EVERY disease common in the Third World.

'AIDS' = old diseases given a new name and incorrectly attributed to a wonder virus that has NEVER been isolated.
