How do you fight AIDS?

Font size: Decrease font Enlarge font

AIDS and HIV infection are preventable, and a person who is suffering from Acquired Immuno-Deficiency Syndrome can be treated by the use of anti-HIV drugs, which are also known as antiretroviral medications. They slow down the progression and spread of the virus. The recommended method of treatment for HIV infection is known as Highly Active Antiretroviral Therapy (commonly known by its acronym HAART).

AIDS can be prevented by avoiding unprotected sexual contact or intercourse with people who suffer from symptoms of AIDS, are in a group of people who are at a high risk of suffering from AIDS, people who have had multiple sexual partners (such as commercial sex workers), people who have had sex with people who either have AIDS or are at high risk of getting AIDS and refraining from anal intercourse. It can also be acquired by sharing used razors, toothbrushes, etc. Or coming into contact with the blood and other waste products of one’s partner.

NOTHING ABOUT AID$ makes any sense: -

There are:
--Men and women who have never done drugs but have had unprotected sex with HIV+ people - and then seroconvert...sometimes after a single encounter.

--Couples - both homosexual and heterosexual - who are discordant, have unprotected sex, and never have a seroconversion in the negative partner.

--Men and women who are celibate, have never done drugs, have always been relatively healthy, who test +.

I could go on. It is a huge list. Anomalies everywhere.

What I think trips people up in the dissident community is the distinction between HIV and AIDS. When a scientist like Peter Duesberg says HIV does not cause AIDS and is not a sexually transmitted disease, he is not saying HIV cannot be sexually transmitted. He's saying even if it is, it's harmless. One should re-read his virulent claim that HIV has indeed been isolated by the highest standards in virology:

HIV & AIDS - Duesberg Claims Continuum Award

I believe his view on HIV positivity is that it's meaningless. But he seems to think that the tests do, in fact, most often react with HIV itself. At least based on the cited article:

"...efforts have confirmed the existence of HIV-specific DNA in most (not all) antibody-positive persons with and without AIDS - but not in the DNA in most of antibody negative people." - Peter Duesberg, July/Aug. 1996

On the flip side, The Perth Group still claims no isolation of the virus:

The Perth Group HIV-AIDS Debate Website

They focus more on AIDS the medical syndrome, and not HIV the virus - and the commonalities in those with immune collapse - which includes unprotected receptive anal intercourse. Their view seems to be that indeed there is sometimes a sexual component in suffering from immune collapse - in this way, one could say that those at Perth believe AIDS can be sexually transmitted...but not HIV...because it has not yet been proven to exist.

What is clear is that there is little consensus among dissidents. And frankly, I see a lot of fractured ideas among the orthodoxy. There are HIV/AIDS specialists who strongly believe in co-factors. They may not be reported as often, but they are out there and they are giving such advice to patients.
Everyone must stay open to all possibilities, because we simply don't have the answers. And sadly, there has never been funding to investigate alternatives, so dissidents rely heavily on an untested hypothesis and anecdotal evidence - which promotes a fractured position.

What we know without a doubt is:
--AIDS the syndrome - whether in HIV+ or not - has not been the epidemic as predicted.

--T-Cell counts and viral loads have little correlation with health.

--Many drugs being used to "combat the illness" are highly toxic and FDA approved without ever using placebos.

--The latency period went from as little as a year (based on blood samples from the first San Francisco AIDS patients) to now over twenty years - or more.

--AIDS linked O.I.s have expanded from three diseases to over thirty diseases - and they seem to "group" among particular at-risk populations - (ex: women get vaginal Candida, gay men get KS and PCP, Africans get Tuberculosis).

--Tests do cross react with other illnesses, including something as common as flu - as acknowledged by the New England Journal of Medicine:
Flu Vaccine Causes HIV Positivity

--PCR tests are unreliable enough to allow the New York Times to publish an article claiming PCR is used to create epidemics: Viral Load - Faith in Quick Test Leads to Epidemic That Wasn?t

So what we know is that something has gone terribly awry. And as I say all the time - truth is what people should be seeking - NOT validation for any one proposed hypothesis.
