MISSION STATEMENT

Founded 1987, we are proud of our accomplishments in coordinating local HIV/AIDS prevention, care, and advocacy projects and recognize that more needs to be done. We strive for the day when our work is no longer needed, but sadly the HIV/AIDS crisis is growing while stigma and complacency persist. In the period ahead we will partner with communities most affected by the epidemic to expand and improve HIV/AIDS prevention and care services, and advocate for sound HIV/AIDS policy and law.

The CENTER FOR AIDS PREVENTION is a public 501 (c) 3 non-profit health and social service agency that works to confront and alleviate the effects of HIV/AIDS disease in America. The CENTER FOR AIDS PREVENTION provides aggressive HIV/AIDS education and prevention programs; comprehensive services for people affected by HIV/AIDS disease. The Center for AIDS Prevention website is funded through a in-kind donation from Datapull. All of the staff members and directors of the Center for AIDS Prevention are non paid volunteers. All monies raised from our marketing efforts are used to promote awareness through our different programs, to promote special events and to cover office rent and general expenses.
